SMS & Messaging Terms

By opting in to SMS messages from Rockdale Christian Youth Softball ("RCYS"), you agree to the following terms and conditions.

Program Name

Rockdale Christian Youth Softball (RCYS) SMS Alerts

Program Description

RCYS uses text messaging to communicate important, time-sensitive information to registered families, coaches, umpires, and volunteers. Our SMS program is operated by Rockdale Christian Youth Softball, a ministry of Bethel Christian Church Inc., located in Conyers, Georgia.

Messages are informational and transactional in nature. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.

Message Categories

If you opt in, you may receive text messages about:

  • Login verification codes (one-time passwords)
  • Registration confirmations and reminders
  • Payment reminders and confirmations
  • Team assignments and coach information
  • Practice schedules and location updates
  • Game schedule changes and cancellations
  • Weather-related cancellation notices
  • Important league announcements

How to Opt In

You may opt in to receive SMS messages from RCYS by:

  • Providing your mobile phone number during online registration at www.rcys.online and agreeing to receive text messages when prompted
  • Providing your mobile phone number when logging in to the Family Portal

By providing your phone number and consenting, you confirm that you are the account holder for the phone number provided or that you have the account holder's permission to enroll this number.

Consent is not a condition of registration or purchase. You may register a player without opting in to SMS messaging.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on league activity. During the active season you can expect approximately 2 to 10 messages per month. Outside of the active season, message frequency is minimal (registration reminders only).

Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. RCYS does not charge for text messages, but your mobile carrier's messaging and data rates may apply. Check your mobile plan for details. RCYS is not responsible for any charges incurred from your mobile carrier.

How to Opt Out

You can stop receiving text messages at any time. To opt out:

  • Reply STOP to any text message from RCYS
  • Email us at director@rcys.online with the subject "SMS Opt-Out" and include the phone number you wish to remove

After you send STOP, you will receive one final confirmation message. No additional messages will be sent unless you opt in again. Opting out of SMS does not affect your registration or participation in RCYS programs.

Supported Carriers

Our SMS program is compatible with most major U.S. mobile carriers, including but not limited to AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, and their subsidiaries. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Carrier Disclaimer

RCYS, its affiliated organizations, and mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is subject to effective transmission from your network provider. T-Mobile is not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

No Mobile Information Sharing

We will never sell, rent, loan, trade, lease, or otherwise distribute your mobile phone number or any information collected through our SMS program to any third party for marketing or promotional purposes.

Your phone number is used exclusively for RCYS communications as described above. We share phone numbers only with our SMS service provider (Twilio) for the sole purpose of delivering messages on our behalf, and they are contractually bound to protect your information.

Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information in connection with the SMS program is governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review it for full details on how we collect, use, and protect your data.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these SMS & Messaging Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued participation in the SMS program after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
